Effect of Whole-Body Vibration Exposure in Vehicles on Static Standing Balance after Riding

This study aims to investigate the effects of whole-body vibration (WBV) exposure on disturbance standing balance function assuming that cause slip, trip and fall accidents in land transportation industry is related WBV when traveling vehicles. In experiment, ten participants underwent 60 min virtual driving a simulator (DS) for exposure. addition, measurements were conducted before exposure, immediately after 2 4 Four conditions considered by combining two magnitudes driver passenger conditions. focused indexes balance, namely, total length enveloped area rate change relative value was calculated. The remained almost constant at 1.0 control condition without whereas under varied. Interestingly, high condition, but it decreased condition. Further basic experiments will introduce another assessment, including loss as health indicator, ISO 2631-1.
